W3C EXI Format Working Draft Published!
The W3C just published the first working draft for the EXI Format. There is a lot still for them to do, but this is an amazing start.

nice. Sounds tempting to implement. Not that I had too much time, but still.
Are there any free implementations already?
No free implementations yet. Also, this draft only covers the schema-less scenarios. To get the most out of the EXI proposal, you will want the 'schema-informed' grammar support. They still have a good bit of work to get that nailed down.
